a block in the (approximate) shape of a cube; square block
n. A personal computer design introduced by Apple in 2000. The Cube featured a unique 8-by-8-by-8-inch transparent curved cube shape with the power supply outside the chassis to create a small and extremely quiet computer. The Cube offered the same G4 processor and features available on other Macintosh computers, but with fewer expansion options. Although the unique design drew notice for innovation, Apple discontinued manufacture of the Cube in 2001 after only one year of production.
