Disposal: Final placement or destruction of toxic, radioactive, or other wastes; surplus or banned pesticides or other chemicals; polluted soils; and drums containing hazardous materials from removal actions or accidental releases. Disposal may be accomplished through use of approved secure landfills, surface impoundments, land farming, deep-well injection, ocean dumping, or incineration.

Hủy rác: Công việc cuối hay sự phá hủy các chất thải độc hại, phóng xạ và các chất thải khác; thuốc trừ sâu bị cấm hoặc còn thừa hoặc các hoá chất khác; đất trồng bị ô nhiễm; các thùng chứa chất thải nguy hại từ hoạt động dọn dẹp hay phát thải do sự cố. Việc hủy rác có thể đạt được nhờ sử dụng các bãi rác đạt an toàn, bãi rào, canh tác đất, xử lý chất thải bằng giếng sâu, đổ rác xuống biển, hoặc đốt thành tro.
