    Khai báo

    Việc Người được bảo hiểm khai báo trong giấy yêu cầu bảo hiểm về những thông tin mà Người bảo hiểm yêu cầu, để đánh giá rủi ro dẫn đến tổn thất. Thí dụ, trong đơn bảo hiểm xe ô tô cá nhân, Người yêu cầu bảo hiểm ghi rõ tên, địa chỉ, nghề nghiệp, loại xe ô tô, số km chạy xe ước tính đi được mỗi năm v.v... Dựa trên thông tin này, công ty bảo hiểm sẽ xác định người đó thuộc nhóm rủi ro nào để tính phí bảo hiểm và giới hạn trách nhiệm bảo hiểm tối đa; cần áp dụng thêm những điều kiện đặc biệt nào để chi phối hành vi của Người được bảo hiểm.
